Very good burgers. Staff very friendly and helpful.

My boyfriend and I walked into American Burger at about 7:30 pm on a Fri night. We realized they closed at 8, and decided to order takeout because it was so late.Jessica greeted us with a friendly welcome and smile as we walked in.She invited us in to take a seat, order and eat there.Though it was late, she also invited other customers in to relax and enjoy a good meal.Even the cashier was friendly and assured us that they never turn anyone away.We had a really good experience at American Burger. I would highly recommend them!

We heard they had good catfish and they did not disappoint. My wife and I had the 5 pc weekend special. There were 5 big catfish fillets cooked perfectly! Not overcooked but done. Many places either cook them too hot and/or cook them until the batter is dark brown. Big baked potato on my plate and plenty of fries for my wife. Slaw, pint beans, and pickled green tomatoes on the side. We walked out stuffed and was $25 with the tip. Other plates we saw coming out looked just as good and everyone seemed to like it. If you are hungry, this is the place to go in Melbourne!

I really like The Overeasy Burger and The Texas Ranch burger. And I can not eat jalepeños but Ican eat them off that sandwich.

Great food and amazing prices! This is the most family friendly place we've ever ate, they are so nice here and they are always sweet to my kids! They have so many great things to choose from but our favorites are the fish and the burgers!!

My husband and I were excited about having an American Burger....the waitress was great. She was friendly and on point. The cook must have been having an off day. I ordered the Overeasy burger....my egg was cooked over hard...no runny yolk🤦 the mustard I asked for was missing and the entire plate was less than warm. 🤷 My husband's "special" was a mess everything slid off the pretzel bun and instead of the fries that were listed on the board he was served tater tots. I overheard another customer complain that her hushpuppies were burnt. I realized when checking out the reason our food was cold is that instead of being set under a warming lap for pick up it is set aside on a shelf🤦🤷 $32 later we won't be back. Maybe it was an off day, they appear to have a solid group of regulars.

The place is very popular as it was packed mid-afternoon. Food was just okay. The fish sandwich was kind of chintzy. They cut a filet in half which didn't even cover the entire bun. The waitress and other people were extremely friendly. Smallest bathroom I've ever seen in a restaurant.

Waited 20 minutes to order, watch as orders were taken from three groups that came in after us. Eventually had to walk out. Poor service.

Wow! I'm not sure what else I can say. My wife and I had two different burgers and they were both delicious. My wife got the Jack Daniels burger, and it was my favorite. The Jack Daniels glaze on the huge patty of meat just set the sandwich off in a class by itself. The ways to order burgers here are endless. You also get many choices on the type of fried you would like: waffle, seasoned, crinkle-cut, regular. The service was great, our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and prompt. The atmosphere is like a small town burger joint. We're going back on a weekend night sometime for their steaks. Great place, highly recommended.

Amazing I have a few friends that work there

Been coming here for close to 20 years and their food is great.Favorite is the Jack Daniel's burger and the chicken fried steak with fried mushrooms.As far as breakfast goes the pancakes and biscuits and gravy!Everything is good here.Had a more in depth review but lost it.

This is just a great little small town restaurant serving good meals. You get so much food for your dollar. The home made pies are to die for. Don't forget to pick up a slice on your way out for later!UPDATE: This place has changed owners (again!) the food is not good. I sent my dinner salad back because the bowl was dirty. I wasn't rude or mean I just showed her what was going on. She never came back to our table. All the sudden we got a new waitress.This place used to be packed at dinner time. But I don't like eating my meal with a bunch of flies. I might as well eat in the barn. For some reason it's packed at breakfast. Must be the same old timers.

Visiting the area and decided to order a double bacon burger from here. Wow, that was an amazing burger! So glad I got the double bacon cheeseburger.

Every single one of their servers is so nice and they do their best to make sure everyone is comfortable and happy. Also their friend mushrooms are absolutely amazing. I do wish they delivered though

There burgers were juicy but not greasy. Portions were plenty enough to fill up some of the biggest eaters. Our waitress was jokingly professional with timely service. Look forward to eating here again next time I’m in town.

Great service, awesome food, friendly atmosphere easy parking, good prices and a drive thru . Absolutely love this place. Have not had a bad meal yet. The Colten Burger is double meat , double bacon, double cheese and your mouth can't stretch open enough to bite it . They are HUGE !! Fresh daily dessert choices and daily specials for breakfast, lunch and supper. You have to go !!!

Ordered coffee and pie. Apple pie was gummy and chocolate pie tasted old and oily meringue. Wish I could give it more stars because servers very friendly and use to serve top quality pies. Informed just hired a new "pastry" cook.
